Purex!

So I have had the amazing opportunity of being a purex insider. What this means is when they have new products to try out they send them out to insiders and we get to try them and blog about them! Well, I got this as a huge surprise in the mail the other day:

Well, they were right, my world of fabric softners did change!!! I love, love, love these Crystals!!! Not only do they smell awesome and look so cute on the shelf in my laundry room but you put them in wash at the start of the laundry!!! No more setting timers, running from the back of the house to the front, etc! Plus, what is really cool about this stuff is it is not oil based! What that means is you can safely use it on children's clothing and it will not reduce the flame retardency of the garment. Also, it means you can use it on your specialty work out clothes as the wicking in many of the newer garments is made less effective by other oil based softners, but Purex Crystals is safe for those garments!

Awesome Walgreen's Deals!

So, I've been reading some of my fave savings blogs and thought I would share the savings I found today at Walgreens!

As you can see I got Dawn dish liquid, Listerine Zero, and Colgate all fro .97 cents! Being that I am not working yet after our move to Texas I have really had to get creative with our budget. We were getting to where we were about to need all three items & thanks to those wonderful saving's blogs, and coupon clipping (store & manufacturer) I was able to save $10.70!!!! I am just ecstatic!

Walgreen's Deals!

I have always loved Walgreen's...can manage to get such great deals!  But, this is an ultimate...a completely free 8X10! They are having a thing called 7 day's of deals...this is day 1! I just ordered a print I had been wanting to blow up but kept forgetting! So, enjoy the 7 days of deals! :D

Great week at Randalls!

So, I am totally new to couponing, but am so excited about my week's savings at Randalls (& other places around town)!

Total Before Savings: 96.53

I would have save over 50% however, I had a weak moment and bought my daughter soem iced coffees that were not on sale :-/ Should have left her at home like she wanted! :P But, I got only all name brand items and had a coupon for almost everything! I was really proud of myself! :)

Also, my daughter and I did back to school shopping on Thursday. We went to Aeropostale and she got three shirts that she has been wanting so badly, but I was holding off so they wouldn't get worn before school...well, it paid off. I spent 22.92 and saved 45.33. One shirt was on sale for 50% off the other two were two for $18 and I had a 30% friends and family coupon from my email! Next, we went to TJ Maxx where I got a $50 dress for her for $20, and Ross where all the shirts she wanted (3) retailed for $24 or more a piece fro $21.59.  All are in fashion as we went to Dillard's right after and literally saw the exact same shirts selling for full price!

Be carful when working out!

Ok, so I have been using p90x for seven weeks now. I have absolutely loved it! I have seen extreme improvements in my physical fitness as well as my muscle tone. I couldn't be happier. However, last night around 10:30 pm tragedy struck.  Let me give some background. Many of the workouts call for a person to do pull ups or chin ups in this particular dvd with which I was exercising. However, if you do not have a pull up bar you can mimick the exercises with an over the door resistance band. The first week I used a band that was too light that had no weight and I just placed in the door jamb at the top, after that I get the genius idea I am going to get a heavy one from Dick's. So, into Dick's I go to get the toughest resistance band I can find and seriously tone my arms and back. Well, the band came with a little circle that you put the band through and at the top of the circle is a weight you put over the door and close the door over it so the weight acts as an anchor. I thought this would be pure genius because now I could close myself off & the rest of the family could be spared Tony Horton droning that only I seem to find entertaining. Well, last night as I was on the 3rd "pull up" is when it happened. I pulled, the door opened, and said anchor weight hit me full speed ahead right in the middle of the forehead. I now have a small raspberry along with a nice size lump in the center of my forehead that is very akin to what a cyclops might have minus the actual eyeball. So, I will be back to putting my band between the door & the frame as I was in the beginning and the fam can either beat me or join me.

Covergirl Simply Ageless Bzz Campaign

I mostly enjoyed the products I received: corrector, concealer, foundation, blush. The corrector seemed to have to be put on so heavy that it actually drew more attention to the bags under my eyes. It did the same for my mother & daughter. However, the concealer was amazing! We all loved that & don't leave the house without it in the morning! The blush was nice, but I love creame blushes. However, if you don't know how ot use creame blushes it could have been quite frustrating. In fact, another friend of mine in this same buzz campaign complained of it being difficult to use. I used one of the coupons to buy a foundation in my color as the foundation I got was too dark. It was a nice foundation though, competed well with my current foundation. I can't promise to make the switch but did recommend it to several co-workers looking for a good quality afforable foundation.

Day 4

Alright, so I forgot to post on Friday. But, it was a good day...although I wound up with a headache by the end of the day...students are sooooooooo ready for spring break right now its not even funny. I am so glad we only have three more days this week with students, then one day without the students then I can leave that afternoon to go see my man! woohoo! motivation for working seems to have left me...but, it must come back...and it will tomorrow...I have to do LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of work tomorrow...oh well the time will pass quickly anyway.


Friday I had a great day...I had an egg on toast for breakfast, lunch was some chicken stirfry, and dinner was a nice tuna salad (just lettuce, tomatoes, onion, loose tuna and small bits of fresh apple). it was great I even got to go for a nice run.


Today, I went for a 6 mile run with a good friend of mine over the bridges downtown in our great city! It was a wonderful run. I had two pieces of toast and coffee before the run, after the run i had a weak moment while getting the brakes fixed on my car and I took my daughter to Krystals and we each got a 3 Krystal chick meal...they were soooooooooooooooo good with their delicious french fries! It had been so long since I'd had those lol but we each were able to eat two and some french fries (we agreed next time we split the fries and drink since neither of us could finish lol). Then when I got home I had a Tablespoon of Nutella (heavenly), then later after my nap we heated up the rest of our chicks and had those with some grapes. When we got to her play I had a sierra mist and popcorn, then when I got home my mom was baking a pizza. I think it's called brick oven pizza and it was spinach, mushroom, and onion...OMG it was sooooooooooo delicious! I couldn't even belive how good it was...I had a piece of that hehe hopefully there'll be some left for lunch tomorrow! :D


Anyway, my daughter is in a play, Annie. It is so cute, I can't wait to see it...for time number three...tomorrow afternoon. She *made* me go tonight so I could compare red cast to blue cast and of course I thought her cast was better (really, they were the blue cast was just above awful :-/)
